WHOAH BABAY!!! How bout JD under my tree in his birthday suit with a bow "strategically placed"!!! LOL Well...since that will only occur in my dreams, I'd certainly be over the moon if I COULD FINALLY GET TO SEE THE ACCIDENTAL HUSBAND! OR..if somehwere down the road he did a SN event or a play or anything that us east coast fans could get to see him at-LIVE and IN PERSON!!!!
I would like everyone in my family to get along. I would like the economy to rebound. I would like Jeff's movies to be released when they are suppose to be.
I would just love to be happy and hope all my friends and family around me are happy too. I have had a tough year and would love to be able to give those who supported me everything they want.
Additionally I would love to be able to look into JDM's eyes for real, even just for a second..
Never in a million years I know.... not even in the same country : (
Just regular afghans, no big deal, unless one of my family or friends wants a specific sized one, then I just adjust to make them bigger. I've been crochetting since I was in high school and I have made alot of blankets, but since a friend of mine got cancer, I try to do at least one a year for someone who is sick, which makes it worth my time :)

I'd like a friend of mine who lives in a different town to come out for a visit. That would be a lot of fun!!!
Carrie, that's so sweet of you to make all those blankets. What type do you make? How do you make them? Just a little curious where your creative juices are.
I too am more into giving at Christmas then receiving. I lost both of my parents recently and haven't really gotten into the christmas mood to much since but I have neices and nephews and so the family proceeds forward like we did in christmas pasts.. I lost my mom in 2006 and my dad in 2007. I also have a close friend who is not real well. He does have a heart condition and his immunity has given him some problems and he is often chilled and usually wrapped up in a blanket or large sweater and so I just get warm fuzzies hearing about making these blankets. Beside the obvious I would like a fry daddy. With wall street in the shape it is in I try to budget now everywhere I can and I am getting into making homemade potato chips and fries and a fry daddy would just make my life so much easier. I hope everyone gets what they want for Christmas. You all take, Sandy
Cancer just sucks. One of my very best friends survived stage four breast cancer, but was diagnosed with brain cancer a few years later. Somehow she's surviving that was well and even though she's finished with treatment (for now), it's still a constant battle.
Oh man. That really stinks Carrie. I feel for those kids. My dad is currently waging his own battle with cancer, so I know how difficult it is to watch. You are so sweet to be making blankets for him. I'm sure they are very appreciated. I know my dad is constantly freezing! I will send positive vibes his way.
Well, just got some rough news. The guy I made that blanket a few years ago for, well he was in remission but found out last week he has cancer in his lymph glands, his neck and his groin now. He starts chemo soon, from what his friend Randy tells me, so I have a feeling I'll be making a few more blankets in the next few months. I feel so sorry for his two boys, 12 and 15, they basically live with their father because their mother really doesn't want them around or they don't want to be around her. Either way, it's just not a good situation, but I thought I would throw in an update.......albeit crappy that it is :(

Now why would I be sorry I asked? I would also like a Wii, from what my mom says, she loves it!!! I can say, it would get me up off my butt :) I'd prolly be knocking stuff over or falling on my face though!!! If I actually worked on blankets all year round, I'd have it made. Last few years I haven't really been into it or have been more tired after work. I have a goal this year, I want to finish the one I started last winter and get another one completely done. So that's the goal. :) My aunt died of breast cancer, 3 years ago, so I try to make that little bit of difference! :)
Everyone at my job laffs at me about my Xmas habits. I have to clean the WHOLE living room to get ready for the tree getting put up! LOL! That means washing walls, taking down the curtains, etc.........although I did find this recipe for a cute little Xmas tree cake this year, I plan on making one of those :)

That's very nice of you Carrie, really, you helped a lot I think with your gesture!
I like a lot Christmas, although it's a very commercial festivity nowadays, I still love all the lights, colours and Christmas carols. Besides, I like very much to prepare the house for Christmas and buy gifts for family and friends.
What I'ld like to have, it's a nice and relaxing Christmas in a nice and cozy place up in the mountain, with fireplace and Christmas carols .......
But, also the Wii fit would be great, I have tried my colleague's ones and it's really funny! I am disaster too with balance
The secret to the hoops is to actually lift one foot off of the board so that you lean as far over in the other direction as possible to catch the hoop. If the hoop is coming at you from the right, lift your left foot off of the board. Works like a charm.
Do the Wii people have Australian accents there? Or do they all just sound American? I've always wondered how that works.
Are you sorry you asked yet Carrie? See you are so sweet and donated a blanket to a man fighting cancer and all we can talk are video games. It really means a lot to me that you did that. As a caregiver to a family member with terminal cancer, and as a former nurse in a cancer ward, I commend you for doing that. I'm sure it meant more to that man than you could ever imagine.
Oh, I'm sooo jealous. Wii fit does rock! My balance sucks too. I really suck at the soccer game. I got hit in the head with two shoes at once. Just try accomplishing that!

Carrie, I think one of his favorite colors is red. If I find out for sure, I'll let you know.
I'm much more into giving gifts also. But I would totally love a Wii fit. One of my friends recently got one and those things are awesome. So much more fun than dragging my lazy butt to the gym. The hoola hoop game thing is just crazy.
But as I said, I prefer to give gifts. And we will have a new baby in the family by Christmas, so that makes it even more fun!
I know, silly topic, but what is it that YOU want for Xmas, besides the obvious, of course!?!
What do I want? Hmmmm......besides the obvious, I don't really have any wishes or wants for the holidays. I would rather give to others, which is what I normally do. I need to finish working on one of the blankets I started for a friend of mine last year, and possibly get another one done through the winter. Does anyone know what colors are JDM's favorites? Considering people line up for these blankets cuz I only make one a year and i'm limited to whom I give them to, well I think I'd like to send one to LA......hee hee........and god, don't tell me black and blue....I've done a few in blues and a few in greens...last one I finished was donated to a person who had a chinese auction to help his costs for cancer treatment.......
